Worth Reading

Navigating the "free" waters is so complicated in the beginning. Often, people ask me which books I recommend. The truth? I don't own many books dedicated to gluten, dairy, or soy free cooking. The bulk of my knowledge has come from helpful friends, the internet, and my own trial and error.

But! I do have a small stack of go-to cookbooks that provide inspiration if nothing else. Here they are:


Not all of these books cover all of my needs specifically, but substitutions quickly become second-nature. The two bottom books, for example, are not designed specifically to feature gluten free recipes. I have learned that *most* recipes can easily be made gluten free by using a gluten free AP flour blend and a bit of xanthan gum.
